Today, on the plateau of the “Dom revolucije”, a solemn event marked the beginning of the construction of the “Dom digitalne revolucije”.
The event was opened by Biljana Scepanovic, the Minister of Science and Technological Development, stressing that the beginning of the transformation and construction of such an object is an opportunity for it to become a symbol not only of power and innovation, but also in terms of functionality to play a vital role in shaping Niksic and the Montenegrin innovative community. Minister Scepanović added that the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, together with IEC Tehnopolis, will continue to fight for the innovative community in order to continuously obtain space and programs for skill development, opportunities for networking, work, employment and cooperation.
The president of the municipality of Niksic, Marko Kovacevic, addressed the audience and pointed out that the synergy of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, the Municipality of Niksic, the Administration for Capital Projects and Tehnopolis gives results by obtaining a multifunctional space for the development of the creative industry and other commercial services.
Nemanja Vukovic, president of the Niksic Municipal Assembly, said that it is the obligation of the municipality to support any initiative that will stimulate productivity and commitment to work. “In this context, we recognized Tehnopolis as a partner that successfully transforms knowledge and ambitions into the betterment of all of us,” said Mr. Vukovic.
Mrs. Maja Delic from the Directorate for Capital Projects referred to the activities that this institution had implemented in the previous period in cooperation with the competent ministry and the Municipality of Nikšić and added that one of them was precisely related to the construction of the “Dom digitalne revolucije” with an area of 930 square meters, the value of which was over 724,000 euros.
At the end, the executive director of IEC Tehnopolis, Djordjije Malovic, greeted those present and said that the construction of this facility creates the conditions to provide strong support for the further development of innovative companies, with a focus on creative industries, which will further give an additional impetus to the development of local and the national economy, thereby positioning Niksic as the center of the creative industry in Montenegro.
The “Dom digitalne revolucije” will become a new multifunctional space for the development of the creative industry both in Niksic and in Montenegro, with an innovative approach, creative and thoughtful treatment of the existing space and valorization of its potential. The “Dom digitalne revolucije” will additionally enable the further development of services and services of IEC Tehnopolis, and in accordance with the strategic vision of its development, which, in addition to support services, will also enable the development of new, commercial services. By developing existing and planning future infrastructural segments, as well as services, IEC Tehnopolis will influence the increase in the demand of individuals, teams, micro and small companies for office and creative spaces in order to make future equipment and services available.
The start of construction work was made possible by continuous synchronized activity and successful cooperation between the municipality of Niksic, IEC Tehnopolis, the Directorate for Capital Projects and the Ministry of Science and Technological Development.
