From the start – build it right. Start@BoostMeUp!
Applications are now open for the jubilee fifth edition of BoostMeUp, the pre-acceleration program and national platform for developing and launching Montenegrin startups.
For four years now, BoostMeUp has been a synonym for growth and innovation in Montenegro, supporting over 70 startup teams so far by connecting them with investors, mentors, and innovation communities worldwide. This year, the program is entering a new phase and brings additional opportunities for those who want to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses.
What does BoostMeUp 5.0 bring?
This year’s program places a special focus on the principles of Industry 5.0 – balancing technology and the human factor, with emphasis on sustainability, resilience, and inclusiveness.
Benefits for participants include:
- Financial support worth over €130,000,
- Five months of expert mentoring and infrastructure support,
- Direct collaboration with leading experts from the region and the world,
- €7,000 for idea development for each of the 6 selected teams, plus €1,000 for four teams to cover part of the costs of idea validation and prototyping,
- Prizes for the three best startups in the final competition: €15,000, €10,000, and €7,000, along with professional development of internationalization and business scaling strategies.
Program phases
- StartUP WEEK – At least 15 selected projects go through intensive workshops, lectures, and mentoring. At the end of the week, teams present their ideas before a professional jury.
- Pre-acceleration program – The ten best teams from StartUP WEEK get the opportunity to develop and validate their business models through several months of basic, additional and specialized modules.
- Montenegro Pitching Competition – The final competition and presentations before investors, partners, and representatives of the innovation ecosystem of Montenegro and the region.
Applications are open from September 8 to October 12, 2025, through the online form available on the official program website – boostmeup.me.
The BoostMeUp program is fully aligned with the strategic and legislative framework for the development of an innovative business community in Montenegro, with the Smart Specialization Strategy of Montenegro (S3.me), and addresses multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The program is led by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis, in partnership with the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, University of Montenegro, ICT Hub Belgrade, One Company, Electric Power Company of Montenegro AD Nikšić, and the Central Bank of Montenegro. The program is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and the Government of Montenegro.
