EIT Jumpstarter is a leading, inter-industrial pre-acceleration program of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), which aims to support the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in central and eastern Europe, by matching innovative solutions with industrial demand.
As a strategic partner of the program for Montenegro, IEC Tehnopolis will organize an online Pre-Jumpstarter workshop on 6 April, where we will present in detail all the information about the program you need to know. At the three-hour workshop, we will introduce you to the EIT Jumstarter program, competition conditions, application criteria, application method, and you will learn some basic entrepreneurial skills and get insight into the local startup ecosystem.
Ten best ideas will participate in the EIT Jumpstarter competition and have the opportunity to win the grand prize of EUR 10,000! In addition to the prize money, participation in this program opens the door to European markets and connects the best teams with three major industrial partners of the EIT community, such as GE Healthcare, Siemens, Philips, Roche, Bosch, Nestle, Pepsico, and Maspek, among others.
The program is intended for ideas in seven areas: health care, food, raw materials, energy, urban mobility, manufacturing industries, and new European Bauhaus.
Who can sign up? The pre-Jumpstarter workshop is dedicated to all individuals and teams who have innovative ideas: researchers, master and Ph.D. students, innovators and entrepreneurs, who have an idea related to one of the above-mentioned fields and plan to start a business shortly. All you need is an idea and nothing else!
Registration is required on the link https://eithealth.eventscase.com/EN/pre-jumpstarter-2021 after which you will receive further instructions.
With the help of the best experts in the class, creative community, and unique knowledge, the EIT Jumpstarter pre-acceleration program aims to support innovators and entrepreneurs to build a sustainable business model around their innovative ideas, to validate the idea in the market and if they confirm it is sustainable, encourage teams to register legally.
As of 2017, 348 startup teams went through the program, and in 2019, EIT Jumpstarter received the Award for Best Association with a training initiative awarded by the European Association.
Applications for the EIT Jumpstarter pre-acceleration program are open until 16 September. More information can be found on https://eit.europa.eu/our-activities/opportunities/eit-jumpstarter-2021.
