In the last few years, the world of industrial production has been developing rapidly and today it is unthinkable without CNC machine tools controlled by computers (CNC = Computer Numeric Control). CNC technologies have introduced changes in the processes of production and processing of metal, wood and other materials that have resulted in an increasing demand for a workforce that possesses practical knowledge and skills in these areas.
Recognizing this trend, IEC Tehnopolis is organizing a three-day training course called “Basics of CNC technology”, which will take place between December 14th and 16th. The training is intended for unemployed persons motivated to acquire new knowledge in the field of CNC technologies and consists of a theoretical part that will be held in the multimedia hall of IEC Tehnopolis and a practical part that will be held in the Laboratory for Industrial Design – TechLab Tehnopolis.
The training within the theoretical part offers a rounded set of elementary knowledge and skills, starting with familiarization with the basics of CNC technologies and applications in industry, the milling process, precautions and protection measures when operating a CNC milling machine, and ending with learning the basics of managing software used for the production and programming of parts. Practical work from the beginning to the end of the process includes the preparation of the machine and cutting tool, as well as monitoring of the machine during operation with the analysis of the obtained product. An additional convenience is the fact that the training is carried out on the most modern industrial machines, high-quality tools and accompanying equipment.
Applications for the training are open until December 9th, and candidates can apply by filling out a simple form available at the link. The number of participants who can attend the training is limited, and during the selection of candidates, special attention will be paid to the reasons for which the candidates applied.
The “Basics of CNC technology” training is organized within the iNnovaNet project, which is co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development and the IPA 2 fund of the European Union. Partners in the project are the Zenica Development Agency ZEDA DOO, Industrial Park Nova Gradiska DOO for development and investment, and the Municipality of Gradiska.
