Students’ non-profit organization BEST Podgorica organizes this year’s fifth annual academic course on the topic of startup entitled “It’s my treat, Startup is on ME!”.
The course is intended for all students who want to acquire some practical knowledge, in addition to the formal knowledge acquired at the faculty. By attending this course, participants are given the opportunity to learn, with the constant supervision of domestic and foreign lecturers, what is needed to establish their own startup, how to manage organic resources to the first investments, how to manage a team of people, and so on.
Lecturers are famous names from the business and startup world, who will try to encourage young people to invest in themselves and their knowledge. Among others, there are: Drazen Zujovic, founder of the first Montenegrin startup Tourvia.me and a startup mentor that constantly contributes to the startup community of Montenegro, then Natasa Djukanovic, marketing director at Domen and one of the pioneers in the field of digitalization in our country, the founder of the Spark.me conference, which in a short time became one of the most important conferences in Southeast Europe, followed by Maja Jaredic, marketing director at the international marketing agency Flight Media, whose clients are noticed in world-wide media such as MTV, E!, CNN and Miodrag Bukvic, Manager for the development of business and innovation in the hub: raum.
The academic part of the course will last five days, from 5th to 10th of July, and twenty-two international students from all over Europe will spend three days in Montenegro and enjoy the beauties of Kotor and Boka Bay. According to the organization, this is not just an opportunity for students to learn something new, but also to have great fun and get friends from all over Europe.
The BEST students’ organization(BEST) was established in 1989 and now has 97 local groups in 33 countries with over 4,000 members. The mission of this organization is to establish communication and cooperation among European students, enable them to exchange knowledge and experiences, all with the goal to develop their global thoughts, getting to know other cultures, mutual understanding and training for further work in the international environment.
