Completed Selection Process for Awarding Grants to Support Women’s Entrepreneurship in Montenegro

03.03.2026.

NIKŠIĆ, March 3, 2026 – Within the project “EWI – Economic Inclusion and Justice for Women of the Western Balkans,” the selection process for awarding non-reimbursable funds (grants) in goods and/or services intended for women starting or advancing their own businesses in Montenegro has been completed.

The goal of this public call was the economic empowerment of women through direct financial and technical support for the development of sustainable business ideas. A special focus of the project was placed on supporting women from vulnerable and marginalized groups, as well as those conducting their business activities in less developed areas of Montenegro, thereby directly contributing to reducing unemployment and strengthening the local economy.

Based on the submitted business plans, and a detailed evaluation and scoring process conducted in accordance with previously established criteria, the Committee has adopted a decision establishing the preliminary ranking list of candidates.

Attached to this announcement are the preliminary lists of applicants in two categories:

Start Your Business (for new business ventures)

Advance Your Business (for existing businesses planning for growth)

Selected applicants will be timely informed by Technopolis regarding the next steps, which include the signing of donation contracts and the planned further technical and mentoring support.

Applicants who did not obtain the right to grant under this decision have the possibility to review their evaluation results. The deadline for submitting appeals is seven (7) days from the date of publication of this notice. Appeals must be submitted exclusively in writing to the e-mail address: ewi.balkans@care.de.

The project “EWI – Economic Inclusion and Justice for Women of the Western Balkans” is implemented by CARE Balkans in partnership with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Technopolis from Nikšić, in cooperation with regional partners: ENECA (Serbia), LINK Mostar (BiH), and Strategic Development Consulting (North Macedonia). The project is supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).
