Cross Border Coworking Conference: A two-day program has begun

05.10.2021

Panel discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities are part of the great program of the Cross Border Coworking Conference which began on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in Budva. Nearly 200 participants from the region, Europe, and the world, as many as gathered at the Hotel Mediteran, have the opportunity to hear the experiences of 25 local, regional and global experts and talk to them about the coworking scene and the increasingly popular topic of digital nomads.

We have gathered the entire co-working community in one place, and wider, from across the EU, and our panelists will present the development trends of co-working communities globally. Our special focus is on digital nomads, which are a very current topic in the region, and most of it has been done in Croatia. Montenegro has started the process of drafting a Program for attracting digital nomads and we hope that this conference will make a contribution to the development of that program and attracting digital nomads in Montenegro and the program area” said at the beginning of the press conference Aleksandar Janicic, project manager of the 2CODE, through which the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis and INTERA Technology Park organized a conference.

The program began with introductory remarks by Tamara Kojic, conference moderator, who introduced the participants to the speakers, panelists, and the detailed program of the conference.

Initiatives in the region are such that they have gathered us to discuss how as a region we can perform and attract digital nomads who can contribute to the diversity of our communities, and that we do not go to foreign countries but other people come to us and bring us experience and novelties,” Tamara told the media.

In his introductory speeches, the participants were greeted by Mr. Nevenko Herceg, Prime Minister of the Herzegovina-Neretva County, who stressed the importance of the conference for Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also for the entire region. The two-day program of the conference will include discussions on current issues of digital nomads in the region, their experiences, but also the potential that the countries of the region have in terms of attracting this target group.

I am privileged to be at this event and to have already met people from all over the region but also from all over the world. We are talking today about the future of jobs, about co-working, diversity, and everything that awaits us. We have interesting panels and discussions about what challenges await us, where the world is going when it comes to working, and I am most looking forward to that ” said Alex Ahom, one of the speakers at the conference.

In addition to digital nomads, the conference program is dedicated to the coworking concept, the current situation in the countries of the region, the challenges that coworking spaces face during the pandemic, but also the prospects and opportunities to use the full potential of the region.

This conference is the crown of INTERA Technology Park’s efforts to bring global trends to Mostar and the region for years. We gathered here to talk about digital nomads who are a growing focus in the region, but also about new challenges and everything that lies before the countries of the Western Balkans, “said Ana Bogdanovic, marketing coordinator of INTERA Technology Park.

Due to the great interest, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis and INTERA Technology Park also provided online transmission via the Zoom platform and social networks of Code Hub Niksic and Code Hub Mostar. Cross Border Coworking Conference, which will end on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, is organized through the project 2CODE co-financed by the ERDF and IPA II funds of the European Union.
