Data center

About data center

The data center was established and equipped with the aim of using its resources for the development of new or improvement of existing innovative ideas by development teams and startups, as well as by all other companies in the IT industry. Data center resources are available both through the support of our business incubator and through various support programs that IEC Tehnopolis provides to all those who work on developing new ideas that have the potential to grow into sustainable businesses, that is, ideas that will significantly contribute to the overall digitization of Montenegro. Also, if necessary, the resources of our data center can be ceded to the academic community, through special cooperation agreements, in the part of work on scientific research projects. Additionally, an important activity of the data center soon will be the provision of digitalization services for micro, small and medium enterprises in Montenegro.
The data center meets most of the requirements of a modern data center in accordance with internationally defined standards in the part of the necessary infrastructure, which relate to physical security, the existence of security software, ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply, smooth operation of air conditioning devices , backup system for extinguishing a possible fire, video surveillance both from the outside and inside and the possibility of obtaining internet services, through optical means, from all providers in Montenegro, which also ensures a stable internet connection.

Technologies

The data center is defined as a centralized location in order to collect, store, process, distribute and provide access to larger data sets. The data center is based on 3 clusters:
