A little more than a month left until the two-day conference that will gather local, regional, and world experts in Budva, ready to exchange knowledge and experiences about the coworking concept and the increasingly popular trend of digital nomads. The Cross Border Coworking Conference, organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis from Niksic and INTERA Technology Park from Mostar, will be held in early October at Mediteran Hotel, and now the details of the Conference program have been revealed on the official website!
The first day is dedicated to digital nomads from various aspects
The first day of the conference, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 will be an opportunity to talk about digital nomads, a global trend that has been the focus of regional states in recent months. After the grand opening of the program, the first presentation by Alex Ahom will give an introduction to the concept of this way of life and the perspective of development. Jan de Jong, Senad Santic, and Dragan Cabarkapa, promoters of the initiative on the introduction of visas for digital nomads in Croatia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, and Montenegro will talk about the potentials of the region and the offer that can be provided to this target group, through a panel discussion moderated by Nina Pantovic.
IEC Tehnopolis, INTERA TP, BIT Center Tuzla, and the City of Zadar, partners in the 2CODE project, have been working on the development of digital nomad services in recent months, and presentations by Tamara Kojic and Tanja Polegubic will be dedicated to these packages of the needs of digital nomads prepared by the cities involved. After lunch, the participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Dubrovnik Digital nomad-in-residence program as an example of good practice from the region, through a presentation by Ana Hrnic from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and representatives of the City. On the first day, the program will end with first-hand experiences gained by three digital nomads in the countries of the region. Through a conversation with Kristina Nikolic, Kate Hill, Owen Cook, and Steve Tsentserensky, who have temporarily stayed and worked or are still doing so in Montenegro, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, and Croatia, will share their impressions of life in the Balkans.
Challenges and perspectives of the coworking scene in the focus of the second day
The second day of the conference, Wednesday, October 6, 2021, will begin with a brief reminder of the program of the first day, which will be prepared by Tamara Kojic, and will continue with an overview of the state of the coworking scene of the Western Balkans, which will give Milan Babic. This will also be an opportunity for the premiere presentation of the results of the coworking scene research conducted by Deli Space. Cate Maiolini and Christian Schmitz will talk about the perspectives of coworking space after the global pandemic and opportunities for development, and then the representative of Nova Iskra and Alex Hillman will share their experiences during the pandemic through a conversation with Matthias Zeitler. Tomislav Capan will talk about the advantages of teleworking on the second day, and representatives of regional media, ie journalists and reporters whose work before the pandemic was unthinkable without physical contact, will talk about what such work looks like in practice.
In addition to the conference itself, everyone present will have the opportunity to socialize and share experiences at two evening parties that will provide a great networking opportunity.
