European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos visited IEC Tehnopolis

28.03.2026.

We had the great honor of hosting the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Ms. Marta Kos, together with a delegation from the European Commission and the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro.

On this occasion, we presented IPC Tehnopolis, our mission, key activities, achieved results, as well as our plans for the upcoming period. We were especially pleased to have the opportunity to showcase the development path we have built, as well as the potential of Tehnopolis as a pillar of innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.

Kos is the first Commissioner from Brussels to visit Nikšić, and she expressed particular satisfaction in being there and affirming that everything is possible if you follow a good idea.

As Montenegro is moving closer to EU membership, she emphasized the importance of everyone getting involved and contributing to bringing this process to completion, as this represents a historic opportunity for the country.

She was particularly pleased to see the label “Co-financed by the European Union” on Tehnopolis projects, recognizing the continuity of cooperation that has lasted for years through numerous projects in which the EU supports good ideas and development.

The Director of IPC Tehnopolis expressed satisfaction at hosting such an eminent delegation. As he noted, this is not surprising for a small country like Montenegro: “Everything Tehnopolis has achieved in its 10 years of existence represents a success story and an example of how honest and dedicated work can lead to becoming part of the European Union. This visit only confirms that and clearly positions Tehnopolis as a key pillar of Montenegro’s innovation ecosystem.”

In addition to the Commissioner, the delegation included: Mr. Johann Sattler, Ambassador of the European Union to Montenegro; Ms. Adele Marsullo, member of the Commissioner’s cabinet; Mr. Andreas Gahleitner, member of the Commissioner’s cabinet; Mr. Heinke Veit, European Commission, DG ENEST; as well as Ms. Ana Savjak, interpreter; Mr. Vuk Vujnović, media relations officer, EU Delegation; and Mr. Radovan Bogojević, strategic communications officer, EU Delegation.

We are proud that the effort and energy of our team, as well as our commitment to the further development of IPC Tehnopolis, have been recognized. This visit represents a strong encouragement for us to move forward even more decisively, with the same vision and even greater ambitions.
