European Solar Award 2020: Lake Constance Foundation Award

EUROSOLAR, the European Association for Renewable Energy, within the European Solar Award 2020 gave a reward as recognition to one of our partners within the CSSC Lab project, the Lake Constance Foundation from Germany for 25 years of commitment in the field of renewable energy development and energy transition.

The European Solar Award is intended for nine winners from seven different categories in the field of the energy transition, namely: municipalities, representatives in the field of solar architecture, industry, representatives of local/regional associations, transport and mobility institutions, media representatives and educational institutions that contribute to the renewal and decentralized energy supply in Europe.

Our partner The Lake Constance Foundation won the award in the regional association category.

One of the reasons for the success of the work of the Lake Constance Foundation is the cooperation with various actors in the field of energy system transformation. Current projects in the field of energy system transformation, including the CSSC Lab project, imply, among other things, a greater use of renewable energy sources in order to protect the environment and sustainable development.

The award has been given since 1994 and is considered the most prestigious European award in this field, while this year, due to current developments regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the award ceremony was held online.
