The first meeting for establishing FILA laboratory held in Tehnopolis

IEC Tehnopolis organized the first of three planned meetings with key stakeholders in the area of ​​agriculture and innovation in Montenegro as part of the activities for establishing first laboratory for innovation and fertilization in agro-food in Montenegro (FILA).

The meeting brought together innovation stakeholders to discuss about problems in the knowledge transfer system between the science, the business sector and users, in order to work on solving the identified problems through the work of the future FILA laboratory. FILA is a concept that unites research, business and users in favor of development new products and services in the field of agriculture.

Representatives of the Ministry of Science, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Economy, Office for European Integration, Niksic Municipality, University of Montenegro, international organizations for rural development, representatives of small and medium enterprises, companies and agricultural associations attended this meeting where they took active participation in the discussion.

By the end of March, two more meetings will be organized to define the best model of functioning of the FILA laboratory, which will contribute to resolving problems in the field of agriculture through the generation and application of innovations.

Meetings are part of the ‘Strengthening and empowering of cross border innovation networks through Fertilization Innovation Labs in Agro-food for improving the connection between research and SMEs’ (FILA). Project partner is the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute Bari (IT), and the partners of the project are: Region Apulia (IT), Regional Development Agency 3 – Korce, Elbasan, Berat (AL), Albanian Investment Development Agency – AIDA (AL), IEC Tehnopolis and the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro. The project is funded by EU funds through the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro program.
