IEC Tehnopolis invites you to apply for the big regional hackathon Smart Niksic – smart solutions for sustainable development and offer a solution to some of the key problems of our municipality!
We are organizing the hackathon in the period from September 14 to 16, in cooperation with partners from INTERA Technology Park (Mostar), the City of Zadar, BIT Center Tuzla, and the University of Zadar, within the project 2CODE – Cooperation for Development of Cross Border Business Environment Enhanced.
Hackathon will bring together teams that will work for 48 hours to create a software/hardware solution that will develop Niksic as a “smart” city, and base its development on the application of information and communication technologies.
The specific problems that the teams will work on will be presented at the hackathon and defined within the area of good governance and tourism.
The concept of smart city is the integration of existing services for citizens and ICT to raise their efficiency and life quality, and the development of the local economy. In other words – the solutions you offer should potentially solve some problems of the municipality of Niksic from the defined areas and contribute to a better and easier everyday life of our fellow citizens.
What are the rules of the hackathon?
The hackathon will last continually for 48 hours, after which the teams will present their solutions to an expert jury at the Demo Day.
At the beginning of the hackathon, all participants will be introduced to the problems for which they need to create a solution, which can be hardware and software.
Mentors from various fields will work with the teams, who will support them in finding the best solution for the defined problems, and will also have the support of the TechLab IEC Tehnopolis for prototyping if they need it.
Participants will be provided with food and refreshments during the hackathon, and they will also have a relaxed zone within the CODE Hub Niksic space. Detailed rules of the hackathon will be presented by the organizers at the very beginning of the hackathon.
