At today’s meeting in Niksic representatives of IEC Tehnopolis, Ministry of Economy and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) concluded that priority targets for the development of clusters are continued support for business entities associating into clusters on a national and local level, as well as the creation of a joint bid in order to boost competitiveness.
In the framework of the policy for cluster development, the Ministry of Economy has made a continuous cooperation with business entities in order to present the benefits of associating into clusters. In this regard, the support is targeted to business entities as potential members of the cluster, as well as to the institutions that are interested in supporting cluster development.
Through their own models of support, Tehnopolis implemented a series of activities aimed at improving the local business clusters and it was recognized as one of the best mechanisms that can achieve good results. Accordingly, Tehnopolis now supports agritourism cluster with four members, and it is planned to further expand this cluster, as well as to form new ones in the area of wood processing.
