IEC Tehnopolis organized an intensive training for the use of CNC machines

26.03.2024

From March 18th to 22nd IEC Tehnopolis organized a five-day trainer training for the use of CNC machines, thus making a significant step in training the teaching staff of vocational high schools from Montenegro and Serbia.

This intensive program was designed to provide a deep understanding of working with CNC machines, focusing on three key devices: CNC router, CNC milling machine, and CNC lathe.

The program included familiarization with the basics of CNC technologies and their industrial applications, safety measures, and protection when operating CNC machines, as well as processes of preparation and commissioning. The main goal of the training was to enable participants to independently operate CNC machines.

The training was actively attended by 12 teachers from vocational high schools in Montenegro and Serbia. They gained new knowledge and skills necessary for operating these machines, which they will transfer to their students.

What makes us particularly proud is that the training was created and conducted by the employees of the Industrial Design Laboratory – TechLab Tehnopolis.

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines are a key technology in the industry that enables precise and efficient production of various parts. Their use in vocational high school education has numerous advantages but also requires specialized training for teaching staff to fully utilize the potential of this technology.

Thanks to such initiatives, teacher training is becoming increasingly tailored to modern technological trends, opening up new perspectives for students and providing them with the necessary skills for future professional challenges.

The activity was organized within the project Beyond – “Creating a Stimulating Business Environment for Youth Employment in the Cross-Border Area of the Republic of Serbia and Montenegro,” which is implemented through the IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program Serbia – Montenegro 2014-2020 co-financed by the European Union. In addition to IPC Tehnopolis, project partners include the Montenegrin Employers’ Union and the Regional Development Agency from Zlatibor.
