Known details of the program of the third edition of the Cross Border Coworking Conference

20.09.2023

There is less than a month left until the third edition of the Cross Border Coworking Conference, which will once again focus on the needs of digital nomads and the region’s potential to become a desirable destination. The Conference, jointly organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis and INTERA Technology Park in co-organization with the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, will be held in Niksic from Monday, October 9th until Wednesday, October 10th, 2023.

This year, the program will also start on Monday evening with speed networking and relaxed socializing so that all participants can get to know each other and make their first contacts. The main part of the program is planned for Tuesday, when the potential of the region to attract digital nomads, remote work and the challenges faced by digital nomads will be discussed. This year, the host of the Conference will be Tamara Kojic, who, right at the beginning, after the welcome speeches, will introduce the Conference participants with the details of the program, as well as the reasons why this conference is being organized for the third year in a row. After Tamara, Svetlana Tomkovic from the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro and Stanislava Borovac, coordinator of the Tourist Cluster Herzegovina, will present the current state and potential of these countries. Anna Dueck will talk about digital nomads in general, their lifestyle and needs, and Vesna Jovanovic Vojinovic from Kofax, Nedima Dzaferagic, human resources expert, and Stjepan Buljat from Cognism will talk about remote work and the experience of local companies. The program will also be marked by interactive workshops during which Francesco Cirillo, the creator of the Pomodoro technique, will talk about time management, and Shandra Barker about the burnout syndrome. The program will be completed by Ghada Ibrahim and Anna Maria Kochanska, who will present their experiences of life in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina through a video, and participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives of 12 regional coworking spaces who will present their communities and resources. Steve Tsentserensky will talk about the inclusion of digital nomads in the local community, and the workshop on personal branding will be held by Tanya Jido, an expert in branding and marketing. The program will end with a presentation by Janosz Dietrich, who will present the coliving space Coconat, and closing words by Tamara Kojic. This year, a novelty was introduced – on Wednesday, the participants will be treated to an idyllic cruise on Boka Kotorska and a whole day of socializing as an opportunity to exchange impressions and experiences.

Participation in the conference is free again this year, and all interested parties can register on the official website.

This year’s edition is co-financed by the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the Covid-19 Investment Response/EU4BusinessRecovery project. The project is implemented by GIZ BiH with the aim of mitigating the economic consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This project contributes, among other things, to strengthening the capacity of tourist operators, developing sustainable tourism and branding Bosnia and Herzegovina as a destination for digital nomads. The Conference is additionally supported by the Investment-Development Fund of Montenegro, Municipality of Niksic, The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG), Tourism Organisation of Niksic, Niksic Theater, ZenDev and DELI. Media sponsors of the Conference are Bljesak.info, Nezavisne novine and Večernji list.
