Two startup teams, “AI Counter” and “AI Heal” from the BoostMeUp vol. 4 program, have received tickets for Slush, a leading global startup and innovation conference taking place in Helsinki from November 20 to 21. This prestigious event, recognized as one of the top five startup conferences worldwide, annually attracts thousands of founders, investors, industry leaders, and venture capital funds, providing opportunities for networking and business growth.
The ticket presentation, made possible by the Embassy of Finland with the support of the Innovation Fund, was held today at IEC Tehnopolis. The teams “AI Counter” and “AI Heal,” recognized as the most successful participants in this year’s BoostMeUp Bootcamp, will have the opportunity to represent Montenegro on the international stage and connect with global leaders and innovators. This unique chance enables them not only to exchange ideas and knowledge but also to create potential business opportunities and contacts essential for their further development.
At today’s award ceremony, Finnish Ambassador H.E. Niklas Lindqvist addressed the attendees, expressing support for the Montenegrin teams: “The innovation ecosystem in Montenegro is young but developing very quickly, and we are pleased to have excellent cooperation with the key institutions of this ecosystem. We have traditionally participated in supporting startups, and we are happy to have supported two teams from the BoostMeUp program, wishing them great success.”
Zeljko Lucic, the director of the BoostMeUp vol. 4 program, also congratulated the teams and wished them success in Helsinki, noting that participation in the conference is of great importance for the teams as it provides an opportunity to connect with institutions from Finland and worldwide, as well as with investors. He added that he is confident the teams are on the right path to developing their ideas.
Representatives from both teams presented their ideas through pitches and expressed their satisfaction with the awards and this unique opportunity, which they have already begun to leverage by networking with institutions from Finland through the conference’s application platform.
BoostMeUp vol. 4 is managed by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis in collaboration with key partners from the business and innovation sectors, including the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, the University of Montenegro, ICT Hub Belgrade, One Company, the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro, and the Environmental Protection Fund – Eco Fund.
