Montenegrin startups – The Badger, Daktilograf and Marleq have delighted the region with their ideas and achieved exceptional placement in regional competitions within the Sarajevo Unlimited and BETAPITCH Mostar forums.
Darko Ivanovic, the founder of The Badger, is one of the winners at the BETAPITCH Mostar 2018 conference. The Badger is an electronic badge, a new type of wearable technology that allows the user to display and exchange photos with other users, GIFs, videos and posts from social networks. In addition to Badger, the competition was attended by the top 10 startups, and by winning this prize Badger gets a trip to the IEEE congress in Sarajevo and a direct entrance to the CEE FREIRAUM process of acceleration.
Tehnopolis’ tenant, Montenegrin startup Daktilograf, won the second place in the final of the competition “Unlimited Start-up Battle” within the regional forum Sarajevo Unlimited the day before. Out of the total of 22 start-ups, the top eight regional start-ups were presented in the final, and the advanced technological solution of Daktilograf, the prototype of speech-to-text software, which virtually converts speech into text, won the second place.
In addition to him, in the final of Sarajevo Unlimited, another Montenegrin startup took part – Marleq, an online platform that connects those who are looking for a job with mentors to help them get to the desired job abroad.
Daktilograf and The Badger, with the support of Tehnopolis, participated in the WB6 Startup Academy, which was organized as a part of the project “Strengthening the Startup EcoSystem in the Western Balkan Region” financed by the Regional Fund for Foreign Trade Promotion – GIZ / ORF FT. Tehnopolis is one of the partners.
