Montenegro Pitching Competition: Introducing seven Montenegrin innovative start-ups to the public and the global market

16.09.2020.

Montenegro Pitching Competition – the final event of the first Pre-acceleration program in Montenegro – BoostMeUp, will be held on September 22 in the Lustica Bay complex, the Chedi Hotel, starting at 18h.

This event will mark the end of a multi-month program through which project partners, IEC Tehnopolis, Science and Technology Park of Montenegro and Amplitudo, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Science of Montenegro, provided support for the successful development of seven innovative ideas, which are now ready to go to the national, regional, European and global market.

The development teams and creative individuals who have participated in the program during the previous months had a unique opportunity to launch and build their innovative business ideas supported by the national, regional, and European mentors. Besides the knowledge they passed on to them, the teams had also the financial support of 4,500 euros each, as well as the opportunity to use all the capacities of Tehnopolis, Amplitudo, and the Science and Technology Park.

Their ideas developed in the fields of energy, tourism, agriculture, ecology, and ICT were directed towards the digitalization of society in strategically key areas defined by the S3 smart specialization strategy in Montenegro, and the purpose was to strengthen the competitiveness of the Montenegrin economy.

After numerous workshops, seven teams: Orhis, Flourish, Partour, Amaturn, Solar Villager, Sun Bun, and Seljak.me will present their ideas and prototypes to potential investors, business angels, successful entrepreneurs and the public from the country and the region at the Montenegro Pitching Competition, thereby launching their startup ideas into the business orbit.

The decision on the best ideas will be made by an expert jury composed of: Sanja Damjanovic (Ministry of Science of Montenegro); Vanja Zoric Sundic (IEC Tehnopolis); Velibor Boskovic (Science and Technology Park of Montenegro); Nebojsa Nikovic (Amplitudo LLC); Dusan Banovic (Montenegrin Telekom); Tarik Zaimovic (Bild studio) and Blazo Crvenica (startup Uhura Solutions), while Telekom provided the financial support for the three best-rated ideas.

See you at the Montenegro Pitching Competition!
