One of the Region’s Leading Contemporary Creatives Comes to Nikšić

As part of the program marking the first decade of Tehnopolis’ operations, Nikšić will host one of the region’s most recognizable contemporary creatives, Slavimir Stojanović Futro, on May 28. The meetup, conceived as an informal gathering with the audience, will take place in the multimedia hall of the Home of Digital Revolution, starting at 6 PM.

The event, focused on the topic “The Power of Simplicity in Visual Communications,” is free of charge and open to everyone involved in or interested in design, marketing, communications, and the creative industries, with mandatory registration via the provided link.

The meetup will offer an opportunity for direct interaction, questions, and the exchange of ideas. The audience will have the chance to become acquainted with Futro’s way of thinking and gain firsthand insight into his creative process. Futro will speak about the importance of simplicity as one of the key principles in contemporary visual communications: how to reduce an idea to its essence, how to avoid visual “noise,” and how to achieve maximum impact through minimalism in an era of content hyperproduction.

Slavimir Stojanović Futro is one of the most recognizable authors in the region’s visual culture — a designer, illustrator, writer, and creative director whose distinctive signature has, for decades, pushed the boundaries between design, art, and contemporary storytelling. He began his career as a teenager, and after studying in Belgrade and Gothenburg and working in leading regional agencies, he founded his own studio in 2003, followed by the lifestyle brand Futro.

He has received more than 300 international awards, and his works are part of collections held by institutions such as Centre Pompidou in Paris, as well as museums in Hamburg and Warsaw. Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the world’s most renowned brands, while continuously exploring the intersection of visual expression and personal storytelling through his independent projects and books. He is known for his unique approach, in which every idea is treated as a living being, balancing creative chaos with precise communication.
