New Strategic Partners for Innovation in Montenegro
Company One and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation during the Science and Innovation Days, formalizing a partnership aimed at supporting the development of innovation, start-ups, and digital transformation in Montenegro. This Memorandum lays the foundation for long-term collaboration between one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country and a key institution for innovation and entrepreneurship, to strengthen Montenegro’s innovation ecosystem.
The Executive Director of IEC Tehnopolis, Djordjije Malovic, highlighted the significance of this partnership for innovation development in the country.
“It is a special honor for me that we have gathered here today in Nikšić, at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis, for this occasion. I am pleased that we have chosen, and have been chosen, as partners by our friends at One Montenegro, a company recognized for its thoughtful and responsible approach to improving the overall social framework. I hope that together we will succeed in doing the same for Montenegro’s innovation ecosystem,” said Malovic.
“We have many projects and joint actions ahead of us, one of the first being the national platform, the pre-acceleration program for start-up development in Montenegro – BoostMeUp, which IEC Tehnopolis is implementing for the fourth time, this year in collaboration with One. I am confident that this is just the beginning and that we have many great things ahead,” added Malovic.
“Signing the Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation with Tehnopolis, which has played a central role in the development of innovation and entrepreneurship in Montenegro for years, is extremely important for One. This partnership is a concrete step toward our goal of becoming a key driver of digital transformation, not only in Montenegro but also in the region,” stated the CEO of One, Branko Mitrovic.
The partnership with IEC Tehnopolis provides One access to talent, resources, and innovative ideas that will further enhance its business development. Through this collaboration, One will actively support the start-up community in Montenegro and invest in the development of new technological solutions that will improve business processes and benefit society as a whole.
One of the first tangible steps in this partnership is One’s support for the BoostMeUp program, which aims to provide young entrepreneurs and start-ups with the necessary resources and expertise to develop competitive products and services.
“Through our support for the BoostMeUp program, we will jointly identify and develop innovative solutions that are relevant today, while setting standards for future growth. In doing so, we will create new products, services, and technological platforms that will enhance the market in Montenegro and beyond,” added Mitrovic.
The Memorandum of Cooperation outlines a series of joint activities over the coming years, including developing new technological solutions, organizing workshops and events, and intensive support for start-ups through mentorship and collaborative projects. Through this cooperation, One will have the opportunity to test and develop new solutions in the innovative environment of IEC Tehnopolis, enabling the faster implementation of new technologies and digital services in the Montenegrin market.
One of the key goals of this strategic partnership is to strengthen ties between the business sector and innovation centers to accelerate digital transformation and create conditions for long-term economic growth. The focus will be on developing local talent and supporting innovative ideas that can lead to the creation of new products and services on a regional and global level.
