  • Implementation of workshops with representatives from research centers, researchers, and public administration, where a common strategy and future concrete actions for the protection of biodiversity in the Adriatic Sea will be defined, as well as possible methodologies for aligning data collected through Citizen Science initiatives with scientific research.
  • Implementation of training for key stakeholders involved in scientific research and protection of marine ecosystems to acquire skills in Citizen Science for monitoring cetaceans (dolphins and whales).

  • Adoption of a joint action plan (Vademecum with procedures) structuring the methodology of Citizen Science for collecting data on biodiversity monitoring in the Adriatic Sea.
  • Raising awareness among citizens at the local level about the need for monitoring and preserving marine biodiversity, which will lead to increased community participation in observing and collecting data.
  • Establishment of an international network for observing dolphins and whales, suitable for monitoring the state of marine biodiversity at a global level, which will influence the understanding of marine ecosystem dynamics and the development of international policies for marine biodiversity conservation.
