Cilj projekta
- The ADRURAL project aims to empower rural communities by using innovative solutions that address key social and environmental issues. These solutions will be tested in five Mini Rural Living Labs (MRLL) in selected partner countries, with a special focus on the needs of women, youth, and vulnerable groups.
- The main goal is to integrate strategies and outcomes developed by several projects into a single methodology and a unified set of services, and to assess the state of rural areas in the Adriatic-Ionian region in terms of creating an environment for innovation in rural communities.
- Developing a pilot action methodology tailored to the users involved; developing an evaluation methodology for pilot actions. Based on the methodology and previous activities, each project area will define a pilot action plan, selecting sectors, identifying community networks, etc.
- Create a user-friendly digital tool that will serve as an all-in-one resource center and interactive community for rural communities, providing them with the necessary tools, information, and resources to empower and drive sustainable rural development in a digitized context.
- Develop policy recommendations and governance frameworks to support sustainable and inclusive rural development and maximize the project's contribution to the Program's goals.
- Leverage existing successful practices, promote knowledge exchange, and empower rural communities with the necessary tools and resources to replicate or adapt innovative approaches. The transferability of best practices contributes to the overall goal of empowering ADRION rural communities to innovate and fosters sustainable rural development across the region.
Ključni rezultati projekta
- The project will establish a favorable framework for empowering rural areas through a joint strategy and action plan (during or immediately after the project’s completion). It is expected to improve the resilience, sustainability, and connectivity of rural areas in the Adriatic-Ionian region while preserving their unique character and resources. Demonstration of innovative solutions will reduce innovation gaps and enhance technology transfer.
- The project will increase the capacity of partners through a formal agreement (MoU) for continued collaboration post-project. Enhanced knowledge and capacities of stakeholders in the target area will have multiple effects at cross-border and national/regional levels. By formalizing cooperation, partners can build stronger relationships and foster a culture of collaboration, leading to joint efforts in addressing challenges.
- Through 5 pilot action plans, the project will utilize smart and innovative solutions, involving selected rural actors. Existing and new data will be renewed, new knowledge added, and solutions for sustainability tested, with shared data and best practices exchanged through the Online Rural Empowerment Hub (OREH).
- Solutions adopted or improved by organizations: OREH will be a centralized platform providing rural communities with access to vital information and resources. It will act as a knowledge exchange hub, enabling stakeholders to share information on smart solutions. OREH will provide: a) Information and resources - Guides, reports, and best practices in sectors such as agriculture and healthcare. b) Networking and collaboration - Online forums and collaboration opportunities for knowledge exchange and advice. c) Success stories - Showcasing innovative solutions from rural communities. d) Pilot data summaries - Overviews of key pilot concepts to facilitate knowledge translation.
