19.10.2019

Innovation and entrepreneurship center Tehnopolis organized the Regional camp for young entrepreneurs and took place from 18. to 21. October at Vucje in Niksic. This event gathered people with ideas for starting a new business and people who have the knowledge to share during the intensive four days working on their ideas. Some very successful entrepreneurs who gave example, share their own experience and encourage those who want to turn their ideas into a sustainable business.

Encouraged by the success of the last year’s Camp which gathered 40 participants from Montenegro, we organized the regional Camp that gathered youngsters from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro supported by our partners: Technology park Intera from Mostar, Deli from Nis, science-technology park from Cacak as well as science-technology park of Montenegro. The Camp’s goal was to motivate the students from these countries and provide them with tools that they could use in the future to develop their own business. This was achieved by synergy of the ideas, knowledge, and experience which the experts from different areas shared with them.
The Camp was officially opened by the representatives and partners from the region Djordjie Brkluljan, the manager for program activities and development of entrepreneurship in IEC Tehnopolis, Vedran Simunovic, the executive director of technology park Intera, Nenad Stojanovic, the project director of Deli and Velibor Boskovic, the executive director of science-technology park of Montenegro.

During the first day of the Camp, the students had the chance to hear something more about entrepreneurship and motivation, recognizing good business ideas, the work of Tehnopolis and the development path from freelancing to entrepreneurship. They were very pleased with the workshops and lectures they had.

The next three days were very intensive, so the participants learned about entering the market, marketing, sale, introduction to business plans, experience in idea financing – The solar sailing ship, how to get financing (grants, crowdfunding, investments), the development path of the Montenegrin start-up “Uhura solutions” and how to prepare for the pitch. The last day of the camp was an opportunity for the students to apply the knowledge gained at the Camp and present their ideas developed in groups at the final pitch.
IEC Tehnopolis was very grateful to the general sponsor Coca-Cola HBC Montenegro, that supported the Camp and that has worked on the development of the entrepreneurship of young people for three years now together with Tehnopolis.
