Project Assistant in Tehnopolis, Miljana Pekovic attended the meeting of all mentors from the territory of Montenegro in Podgorica, as one of the mentors who took part in the last cycle of mentoring training.
The meeting was opened by the consultant of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, mentor China Koga, who emphasized the importance of basic processes in mentoring and setting the diagnosis of enterprises as the most important step for the overall mentoring process. After that, the leader of the project for establishing mentoring services in the Western Balkans, Takeshi Kimora, spoke about the challenges of sustainability of this service after the completion of the 2020 project. His proposal is to standardize the mentoring process, as well as to standardize the skills of mentors, to facilitate the collection of funds for continuing the implementation of this service after 2020.
Through three sessions, new mentors exchanged experiences and useful advice, worked on improving mentoring skills and had the opportunity to hear mentor experiences from Japan, the impressions from the mentoring training held this year, as well as the vision of the future mentoring system in Montenegro.
Subsequently, the mentor and counselor at the Directorate for Cooperation with the Business Community, Sanja Varajic, presented the participants with their impressions and experiences gained during the implementation of mentoring, as well as during the study visit to Japan.
The meeting was concluded by the mentor and head of the Directorate, Andjela Gajevic, announcing the next meeting for November 6, when new mentors will be awarded with certificates, and the best mentor from 2017 will be awarded the most successful mentoring project in the past year. The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy for all who passed training for the implementation of mentoring services.
