Sarajevo Unlimited 2018: Representative of Tehnopolis one of the speakers at Hidden Gems of Europe panel

For second time in a row Tehnopolis is a partner of the Sarajevo Unlimited Forum, the largest forum for innovation, entrepreneurship and technology in the region of Southeast Europe.

This year, our business incubator manager, Jelena Djedovic, spoke on the panel “Hidden Gems of Europe”, where she presented the activities of Tehnopolis, and spoke about the Montenegrin startup scene. Other participants at the panel were: Jakov Gajesek from the University of Ljubljana,  Sara Lareta from Spark BH, Ante Mazgan from Hub385 from Croatia, and Visar Demiri from SEEU Tech Park from Macedonia.

On behalf of Tehnopolis our project assistant Nikolina Sturanovic was also present.

The topic of this year’s Forum is Innovation and technological development of competitive industries within the countries of southeast and central Europe. Also, the third, final module of the Startup Academy is held within the Forum, where two Montenegrin startups – The Badger and Daktilograf,  competed and Daktilograf entered the finals of the competition. Besides Daktilograf, another Montenegrin startup entered the finals – Marleq. 

During these three days, startups compete for investors attention with more than 20 start-ups from the entire region, but also for a prize of 5,000 KM. Startup Academy is organized as part of the project “Strengthening the Startup EcoSystem in the Western Balkan Region”, financed by the Regional Fund for Foreign Trade Promotion – GIZ / ORF FT, where Tehnopolis is one of the partners.
