Winner of the biggest regional forum for innovation, entrepreneurship and technology in the region of southeastern Europe – Sarajevo Unlimited is the start-up Easy Tech from Belgrade with its idea of smart glove, while the Montenegrin start-up Daktilograf has won the second place!
The creator of the winning “smart glove” is Nikola Krstic, a graduate of the Electrical Engineering School in Belgrade, who created a glove with the aim to help blind and visually impaired people and enable them to move smoothly without the service dog or rod.
The topic of this year’s Forum, on which Tehnopolis is partner for the second time, is the Innovation and Technological Development of Competitive Industries within the Southeast and Central European Countries.
Today, on the last day of the Forum, the Unlimited Start-up Battle was held, the finale of the startup competition, in which the 8 best regional startups were presented, among which were two representatives of Montenegro – Marleq and Daktilograf – who, with the support of Tehnopolis, came to Sarajevo Unlimited through participation in the Startup Academy.
During the three days of the Forum, 120 speakers took part. Toni Cheng, general manager of the Alibaba Group, caused special interest in the audience, and on that occassion our business incubator manager, Jelena Djedovic, talked with him. Cheng spoke on “THE ROAD TO E-TRADE IN ALIBABA”.
Fabian Bolin and Sebastian Hermelin, director and co-founder of WarOnCancer AB, had a very inspirational presentation about a digital healthcare company set up to make the world a better place for all people affected by cancer. Another interesting presentation was held by Momcilo Elenkov, a representative of Rakuten Viber.
Within the forum, a number of panels and workshops were organized, such as: The Possibilities of Innovative Cooperation (16 + 1 Initiative), The Triple Helix, Security Tickets and how they transform the equity market, E-Commerce: Global Marketplace at the tip of your fingers, and on one of them – “Hidden Gems of Europe” our Jelena Djedovic was. In addition to her, in front of Tehnopolis, Nikolina Šturanović, an assistant in project activities, took part in the forum.
This year’s edition of the Sarajevo Unlimited Forum was also more attractive due to merging with the CEEC 16 + 1 initiative (Central and Southeastern Europe and NR China) where 400 foreign delegates, 60 companies, and representatives of state institutions, governments and ministries in charge of development, technology, economy, science and innovation, research and scientific institutions, academic communities, corporations, technology parks and creative hubs and startups.
