Tehnopolis: Presentation of IPARD like 2.3

Today at the Innovation Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has organized a presentation of the project IPARD like 2.3 to enable potential applicants to clarify the opportunities, conditions and criteria of the third project of non-refundable support for investment in processing.

Food business operators, or processors through a new public call, are given another opportunity to start or improve the processing of agricultural products. Improvement refers primarily to harmonization with food safety standards, in order to increase their competitiveness.

For IPARD like 2.3 call, 1 million euros is available for non-refundable support. Funds for the IPARD like 2 project have been secured from the pre-accession funds of the European Union, as well as national funds. The total value of the project is € 6.2 million, of which € 4.7 million is the EU grant, and € 1.6 million is a national contribution. The project is implemented according to the World Bank’s procedures. The minimum investment value that is supported through the IPARD like 2.3 project amounts to EUR 12,000 (VAT-free), while the maximum is EUR 125,000 (VAT-free). Non-refundable support is 50% of eligible investments for all areas of investment.

The public call supports sectors of animal origin food (fisheries and aquaculture), plant origin food and mushrooms (fruit, vegetables, medicinal and aromatic plants, oysters, olive oil and other olive and wine products), as well as clams on agricultural holdings and already existing slaughterhouses approved in accordance with the Decree on the derogation for the construction, decoration and equipping of facilities with a small volume of production, processing and processing of food.

The call will be open fro applications from November 1st 2017 to January 31st 2018.
