A two-day workshop on establishing a Science and Technology Park entitled “TAIEX Workshop on the Establishment of a Science and Technology Park” started today at IEC Tehnopolis. The event is organized by the European Commission’s DG of Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations – TAIEX in cooperation with the Ministry of Science of Montenegro and Tehnopolis.
During a two-day workshop, experts from Montenegro, Slovenia and Bulgaria will share their experience and knowledge about best EU practices with participants. In addition, they will present the concept of Multiple Helix and co-operation between innovative ecosystems to bring the links and roles between key stakeholders – universities, industry and government closer to the participants. Some of the topics will be the development and implementation of current support activities for tenants of science and technology parks, as well as answers to practical issues such as: why science and technology parks fail, who invests in startups and what their target groups are.
TAIEX is an instrument of technical assistance and information exchange of the European Commission, which supports public administration with regard to the approximation and application of EU legislation, as well as facilitating the sharing of best EU practices.
