In May 2021, more than 60 young people had the opportunity to see the importance of the practical use of knowledge acquired through university education, through three hackathons in Banja Luka, Mostar and Niksic, Thanks to hackathons, organized through the VIRAL project, co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus + program, students worked for 48 hours to solve problems faced by companies from the agricultural sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. A year later, the project partners are proud to announce a new edition of the VIRAL hackathon!
This year’s regional hackathon is organized with the support of the Agency for Economic Development of the City of Prijedor (PREDA) and will be held from Thursday, May 12 until Saturday, May 14, 2022, on their premises. Once again, the participants will be working for 48 hours with the help of experienced mentors to develop software and hardware solutions to the challenges facing the agricultural sector. Through the program, they will have the opportunity to hear different speakers and successful entrepreneurs, and learn more about presentation skills. The teams will present their solutions to an expert jury that will select the best ones and reward them with valuable prizes.
Hackathons have proven to be a great tool in recent years to strengthen students’ skills, learning, networking and socializing, and those are some of the key reasons for applying. Applications will be open from Thursday, April 21 until Sunday, April 24, 2022, until 11:59 pm, and until then all those interested can see the atmosphere that prevailed in Banja Luka, Mostar and Niksic.
