Kick off meeting within the „Vitalising ICT Relevance in agricultural learning – VIRAL” project, funded through the Erasmus+ program capacity building in the field of high education, was held in the period between 21st -23rd January 2020 at the University of Banja Luka. The meeting was attended by Ratko Batakovic, Tehnopolis CEO and Aleksandar Janicic, Projects and Development of Entrepreneurship manager.
During the first part of the meeting, after introducing speeches, key information about the project and project partners were presented. During the second, working part of the meeting, work packages and key project activities, reporting rules and financial project management were presented, as well as the visibility and communication segment of the project.
IEC Tehnopolis, as unacademic partner in Viral project, among other activities in Montenegro will organize Hakaton in the field of agriculture, with purpose of connecting academic and business sector, knowledge development and student’s skills into the part of developing business ideas based on scientific and research results and innovations, as well as providing support for development and commercialization of these ideas and solutions after all.
The Viral project goal is to support the cooperation between university and business by increasing the use of ICT in agro-communities across the Western Balkans. This concept is based on enabling the use of different ICT solutions, techniques or tools in and out of the classroom to achieve the desired integration of agriculture and ICT engineering. This concept will lastly lead to empowering the development of academic and business cooperation within regional agricultural communities.
The leading partner of the project is the University of Banja Luka, while among the other project partners are Tehnopolis, Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar, University of Mostar, University of Tuzla / Electrotechnical faculty, University of Bijeljina, University of Donja Gorica, University of Waigeningen, University of Maribor, University of Bucharest, Agro-voće, Jaffa-komerc, Plantaže 13. jul, Western Balkans Institute, Innovation center Banja Luka, INTERA Mostar i Montenegrin Asociation for New Technologies MANT.
