VIRAL: Spring brings three hackathons in Niksic, Mostar and Banja Luka

Apply the knowledge gained through university education, solve real problems faced by companies from the agricultural sector in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and have fun with your colleagues – all this will be an opportunity for the participants of three hackathons that will be organized in Niksic, Mostar and Banja Luka in the second half of May.

The hackathons, organized through the VIRAL project co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus + program, will focus on the application of information technology in agriculture through the development of software and/or hard solutions to the challenges facing agricultural enterprises in everyday business.

During 48 hours, teams composed of college students involved in the implementation of the project will work in the premises of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis, Innovation Center Banja Luka and INTERA Technology Park, on the development of these solutions with mentors from different fields, and through the program, they will have the opportunity to hear different speakers, and to learn more about presentation skills. The teams will present their solutions to an expert commission, which will select the best ones and reward them with valuable prizes.

The leading partner in the VIRAL project is the University of Banja Luka, and the project is implemented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis, University of Donja Gorica, Dzemal Bijedic University Mostar, University of Mostar, University of Tuzla / Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Bijeljina, University of Wageningen, University of Maribor, University of Bucharest, Agro-voce, Jaffa-komerc, Plantaze 13. jul, Western Balkans Institute, Innovation Center Banja Luka, INTERA Technology Park and the Montenegrin Association for New Technologies MANT.
