Our Laboratory for Industrial Design – TechLab Tehnopolis has, in the past period, provided support to a talented master’s program student in Automation and Industrial Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica, Nikola Milic, for his master’s thesis in the field of robotics. The support involved creating 3D CAD models with accompanying technical documentation, manufacturing segments of the robotic manipulator using FDM and SLA 3D printing technologies, as well as using CNC technology to create the base on which the robotic manipulator will be placed.

The comprehensive process of developing segments of the robotic manipulator included intense cooperation between the student and our team from the Laboratory for Industrial Design. Through months of collaboration, Nikola had the opportunity to work with our team of experts who, thanks to technological resources and rich experience, enabled the development of his idea.

The support from Tehnopolis is very important to me in the process of preparing my master’s thesis. Tehnopolis helped me in creating segments of the robotic manipulator that I use in my work, which was made using 3D printing. Tehnopolis also created a plexiglass platform on which the robot is placed. I am very grateful for the support from Tehnopolis, without which I would not have been able to work on my master’s thesis in robotics“, Nikola highlighted.

IEC Tehnopolis proudly supports young innovators and researchers in their efforts to bridge the gap between theory and practice. We will continue to encourage and support young people who bring new innovative ideas, solutions, and technologies in the field of industrial design.
