Last year, through the iNnovaNet project, Tehnopolis provided valuable equipment for mechatronics and robotics to the Vocational High School in Niksic. The recently held “Science and Innovation Days 2023” festival was an ideal opportunity to present the benefits of using this equipment to the public.

One of the most significant achievements of this project is undoubtedly the equipping of the robotics and mechatronics labs in the Vocational High School in Niksic. These labs have become a center of innovation and creativity for high school students and teachers. In the past period, students had the opportunity to get acquainted with an innovative and multidisciplinary approach that combines knowledge from the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and management. The equipment provided to the school, such as a 3D printer, CNC machine, educational kits for robotics and mechatronics, micro solar power plant, micro wind power plant, and sensors for smart homes, has enabled students to develop their skills and creativity.

This year’s “Science and Innovation Days 2023” festival, in which this school participated, is an indicator that the equipment delivery was purposeful, and this generation of students has shown exceptional results in practice, thanks to, above all, tremendous effort and engagement. Students of the Vocational High School, together with their teachers, presented impressive mini-projects that they created using the modern equipment and devices they received through the iNnovaNet project. Their mini-projects in the fields of robotics, microcontrollers, smart installations, alternative energy sources, CNC technology, and 3D printing attracted the attention of numerous visitors.
