Workshop on Biodiversity Conservation and Cetacean Protection in the Southern Adriatic: Open Applications

We invite all interested parties to participate in the workshop titled “Workshop on Data Analysis through Citizen Science,” organized by IEC Tehnopolis as part of the Biotours 2.0 project. The workshop will take place on June 27, 2024, at Hotel Sato in Sutomore.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Bring together representatives from research centers, researchers, and interested public entities.
  • Define a common strategy and future activities for the conservation of biodiversity and cetaceans in the Adriatic Sea.
  • Discuss improvements in data collection methodology through citizen science.
  • Analyze collected data as a basis for creating a new joint plan for biodiversity conservation and cetacean protection in the Southern Adriatic.

The workshop will feature representatives from partner institutions Jonian Delphin Conservation from Italy and the Albanian Association of Geographers from Albania.

This workshop is organized as part of the project “BIOdiversity and ciTizen science crOss border strategy in soUth adRiatic to protect cetaceanS 2.0 – BioTours 2.0,” co-funded by the European Union under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA III).
